Northwestern Medicine Transplant Advisory Council
The Northwestern Memorial Transplant Advisory Council (NMTAC) is comprised of a group of organ recipients and donors that have differing backgrounds. Some of our Council members are respected business leaders and others have immense philanthropic expertise. While our members have varying credentials, we can all attest to having positive, life-changing experiences with the Comprehensive Transplant Center (CTC) at Northwestern Medicine (NM).
Through our experiences, we have come to value not only the CTC’s organ transplantation initiatives, but also its exceptional physicians and staff. The CTC has saved the lives of some of our Council members and has made a significant impact on the overall well-being of many organ recipients and their families. This impact is so substantial that we as a Council feel extremely passionate about supporting the CTC and so we have made it our mission to continue the cycle of giving.
Our inspired group of organ recipients, donors and their families is united in our mission to support the future of organ transplantation at Northwestern Medicine while connecting and supporting the transplant community.
Our Council has many goals. First and foremost, we want to establish a culture of philanthropy for the CTC which will carry itself well into the future. This goal will play a role in raising contributions that support the CTC’s groundbreaking organ transplantation research and programs. We also want to connect with and engage the CTC’s donor base as well as build a community where organ recipients, their families, and others can unite. We know that these goals will take time to achieve, but we are optimistic. Our Council members believe that great things can be accomplished when people are passionate, committed to a shared vision, and feel inspired to give back.
